The itsWorthIt story

A Facebook Marketplace hobby that became an eBay store, then a wholesale operation, then a second business that operates Deal Hunter.

It started with spotting a good deal

It started with Facebook Marketplace and a fascination with arbitrage: the instinct for spotting a good deal before anyone else did. It turned into a business once I recognized what I could offer collectors: quality product, fair prices, and service people could trust.

itsWorthIt has been selling video games and collectibles since March 2024. I earned eBay’s Top Rated Seller status earlier on, though I don’t hold the badge today. What kept me in it was less the games and more the logistics: planning, problem-solving, and building a process that mixed a personal touch with something repeatable.

The company side of it

itsWorthIt Solutions is a second sole proprietorship, registered separately from itsWorthIt, that I ran as my UBC entrepreneurship co-op in 2025. Half of that term was reselling operations; the other half was technical automation and consulting work on the systems behind it, including a wholesale pricing platform and eBay integrations.

Today it is the operator of Deal Hunter: ITSWORTHIT SOLUTIONS is the name on the Terms and the Privacy Policy. The eBay store and the Marketplace selling stay with itsWorthIt.

Timeline

How it got here

A streamlined sourcing process built around a US wholesale buyer, with a second following in January 2025.

    itsWorthIt Solutions

I ran my own registered sole proprietorship as my UBC entrepreneurship co-op placement: half reselling operations, half automation and tooling for the systems behind it.

Why Deal Hunter exists

Finding stock meant scrolling Marketplace for hours, and a good listing is usually gone within hours. I can’t be looking at 11pm every Tuesday. An agent can. Deal Hunter packages the approach I use to source itsWorthIt’s stock so you can run it too.
